The end of my time at Waikowhai Primary School

Hey Bloggers. If you don't know I'm a year 6 and in a few weeks me and some other students are leaving Waikowhai Primary School. I'm very upset that I have to leave but am also very excited for new experiences. I'm very scared about going to a new school because I'm scared no one will want to be friends with me. I hope I get into choir and 19th harmony .  I'm excited for Waifest and the Year 7 camp. I enjoyed  the senior camp a lot because it helped boost my confidence and also on the first day our hotel room's bathroom door fell down. I also enjoyed Production It was super fun but also lots of hard work. Here are some photo of my time at school.

I'm going to really miss this place but i'm happy to go to intermediate.

Summer learning journey.

Hi bloggers This year we are doing the NZ Summer Learning Journey. For our first activity even though its not Official, we look at a archive event where we choose a country and write about why we would go there. The true first activity  is on the 17th of December.
Activity 1
 I choose ... Germany
Here are some reasons why.

• They make good sausages 
• I want to watch a game of motorsports
• I also want to learn german in the country
• It's quite a warm place in summer   
• It snows.

2nd activity
here are some new facts about germany .

• Germany has the largest economy in Europe.
• soccer/football is the most popular sport
• Germany was home to 81.1 million people.

Thinking hats production

Hey bloggers this term we had our School Production. It was awesome! During that week we had to do thinking hat about about production.If you dont know what the hats are there is the white hat for information the yellow hat is the good things, the black hat is the bad things the green hat was what was creative, red hats were feeling and the blue hat was what are we going to do now. Have a look.  
I found this work easy because it was just a recall of the production. My favorite part of the hats was the yellow hat because there was lots of good things.

Writing and Math tumble

Hey bloggers. Since the start of this term we had been doing 3 tumbles, 1 of which I have already blogged. This blog post will be talking about the math and writing tumbles, the maths tumble consisted of a few DLO you had to make, an e-ako, an in book worksheet and a super messy maths. The writing tumble consisted of a 5 pictures that you had to write about. It took me about 3-4 days to complete one of these. Have a look


This work was hard because it challenged me, especially the addition and subtraction because there were lots of steps.

Last term movie making.

Hey bloggers sorry for the hold up of this there has just been so many exciting things happening at school. Last term we entered the Ako Hiko film festival you might be asking what is a film festival? Well a film festival is an event where students make 3 minute movies and their teacher submits the one they like the most. Me, Abigail, Alan and Jemma's one was chosen to be put in the film festival. We made a movie called Change. Have a look at our movie.

I found this work hard because we only had 1 day worth of footage of Jemma because she wasn't there the rest of the days that we were filming and the filming took about a week including editing.

We used up shots, down shots, medium shots, close shots and long shots. Here is a example using a knock knock joke.

We also used up , down, close, medium and long shots to take pictures  have a look.

Going into term 4 with a bang

Welcome back to Term 4. As soon as class started we were introduced into 1 new tumble - a novel study. We chose a novel from the ones that we were given, I chose Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. Then we smurfed a slideshow which had activities about our story, like a PMI chart or the setting. Have a look at my setting.

This work was hard because I used tinkercad and all the arrows that would help you shrink it or make it bigger, were so close to the one that made the item go in the air so it took a bit of time.

De bono Thinking Hats For Waikowhai Intermediate School's Production.

This is me!

Hey Bloggers. Im back This week we went to the this is me show from  waikowhai intermediate school  there was singing , dancing, music and some people told their stories of being different or coming from a different country to here. There was Hip Hop, a Band, a choir and kapa Haka. It was their dress rehearsals, not the real show so some of them forgot their lines or paused for a very long time .Here are some thinking hats about the show.( if you dont know what De Bono's thinking hats are where you explain what was interesting , good, bad, feelings, what was creative and what you/ they do next.)

It was hard because I wasn't able to explain that easily because the night before I didn't get the best sleep. I was half asleep.
