Week 1 activity 2, day 1.

Hey bloggers for the summer learning journey we need to write about our hometown. My hometown is... Auckland! In Auckland we have.

• rainbows end. 
• sky tower. 
• Rangitoto Island.
• mission bay .

In auckland thing that you can do are

• laser tag.
• swimming at the beach.
• going to ambry farm.
• Walking up one tree hill.
• shopping in the city.
• or going to rocket park

day 1 week 1 for summer journey In the Beginning...

Hello. Today the summer learning has started for our first activity we have to To learn more cool facts about New Zealand Via the Tourism NZ website. We had to write down 3 of more facts about NZ. So here they are.

• We are one of the three countries in the world that has two official national anthems of equal standing.  The first is God Save the Queen and the other is God Defend New Zealand. 

• The official language is English ,Maori and sign language .

• 30% of the country is forest.

• The country is part of the Pacific Rim of Fire and its most active volcano is Mount Ruapehu, found in the middle of the North Island.

christmas dress up day

On the 7th of december it was a Christmas dress up day. We dressed up all christmassy and brought a dollar coin for the christmas hamper that we are doing for school. My teacher Ms Sands did paint face. I got a christmas ornament and a red nose on my face. when we did jump jam there was lots of red and since i'm the Kea/red house captain I was  very happy. It was a pretty normal friday only more red and green. have a look at some photos

Tri Star Gymnastics

Hey Blogger. For the past 2 weeks we went to Tri Star for gymnastics . Our coach was coach Moe from the U.S.A. We did trampolines, foam pit , bars vault floor and beam it was super fun. I was able to do lots of front flips I could have landed them but I was to scared, we balanced on a ball , and used the rings. we did handstands and cartwheels. I didn't really like the bars and also we did some parkour which I was to big for so I couldn't put my legs up properly. Have a look at some photos.

The end of my time at Waikowhai Primary School

Hey Bloggers. If you don't know I'm a year 6 and in a few weeks me and some other students are leaving Waikowhai Primary School. I'm very upset that I have to leave but am also very excited for new experiences. I'm very scared about going to a new school because I'm scared no one will want to be friends with me. I hope I get into choir and 19th harmony .  I'm excited for Waifest and the Year 7 camp. I enjoyed  the senior camp a lot because it helped boost my confidence and also on the first day our hotel room's bathroom door fell down. I also enjoyed Production It was super fun but also lots of hard work. Here are some photo of my time at school.

I'm going to really miss this place but i'm happy to go to intermediate.

Summer learning journey.

Hi bloggers This year we are doing the NZ Summer Learning Journey. For our first activity even though its not Official, we look at a archive event where we choose a country and write about why we would go there. The true first activity  is on the 17th of December.
Activity 1
 I choose ... Germany
Here are some reasons why.

• They make good sausages 
• I want to watch a game of motorsports
• I also want to learn german in the country
• It's quite a warm place in summer   
• It snows.

2nd activity
here are some new facts about germany .

• Germany has the largest economy in Europe.
• soccer/football is the most popular sport
• Germany was home to 81.1 million people.
