Going into term 4 with a bang

Welcome back to Term 4. As soon as class started we were introduced into 1 new tumble - a novel study. We chose a novel from the ones that we were given, I chose Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. Then we smurfed a slideshow which had activities about our story, like a PMI chart or the setting. Have a look at my setting.

This work was hard because I used tinkercad and all the arrows that would help you shrink it or make it bigger, were so close to the one that made the item go in the air so it took a bit of time.

De bono Thinking Hats For Waikowhai Intermediate School's Production.

This is me!

Hey Bloggers. Im back This week we went to the this is me show from  waikowhai intermediate school  there was singing , dancing, music and some people told their stories of being different or coming from a different country to here. There was Hip Hop, a Band, a choir and kapa Haka. It was their dress rehearsals, not the real show so some of them forgot their lines or paused for a very long time .Here are some thinking hats about the show.( if you dont know what De Bono's thinking hats are where you explain what was interesting , good, bad, feelings, what was creative and what you/ they do next.)

It was hard because I wasn't able to explain that easily because the night before I didn't get the best sleep. I was half asleep.

NED Show

Hey bloggers , this term we had the NED Show come to our school. The NED Show guy show us how to be awesome by following these rules- never give up , encourage others and do your best. Then some kids from the audience were chosen to say what you can do to be awesome. Some needed some help some didn't, One of my classmate Lavinia was given a yoyo and a balloon crown which was given to my teacher. He did some yoyo tricks and told some jokes. Have a look at some pictures and videos from the day.
 




This day was very exciting and I enjoyed this very much .

Cross Country

Hey bloggers, on the 6th of August it was Cross Country. It was super fun. We had a bake sale, games and a large run. The year 6s were in charge of a station there were 6 station. Manea,  Richard,  James and I were in charge of the waiting station when I found I was doing the waiting and cheering was not happy, but at the end I was glad that I did because I was relaxed most of the time and I wasn't scared any kids would get hurt. When the run came I knew I would probably come last but I didn't but also I didn't come 1st 2nd or 3rd. Here are some photos from the day.

Interland

Hey bloggers ,we played a game called Interland  that helps us be internet safe. We made a DLO about the parts of the games and the meaning. The parts of Interland are
the Kind Kingdom , Mindful Mountain , Reality River and Treasure Tower. Have a Look at my DLO.
I found this work easy cause you had to play a game and then write about it the only thing I struggled with was the kind kingdom part of the game because the controls were not what I was used to.

technology rotation

Hey bloggers. For the past few weeks we have done a technology rotation. one was making geoboards , another one was making circuits and the last was a technology challenge.
I enjoyed the geoboards the most. Have a look at what we did.

stop motion fighting

Hey bloggers this video was made with the stop motion animator app on our chromebooks. Stop motion is a way of making videos or movies using moving or movable objects. Taking photos of them to make it look like it's moving and not a bunch of pictures. I used playdough to make this and I enjoyed doing this one because I recorded my voice over on this one.
I think I could make this better if I had a mouse so that it had no chance of my hand getting in the way.
