Show It, Dont Tell It

Hey bloggers This week we are working on using descriptive language by sharing our writing straight onto our blog.  The challenge we have is to describe a place using only six sentences. After reading the description you need to guess the place that has been described. It would really help if you say what clues helped you come to this conclusion. So let the guessing begin!

1.this is where the treaty was signed
2.it is in the bay of island
3.this is where the crown and the chief joined forces.
4.this is where the author of the treaty house is.
5.this place has longest waka.
6.the thing that happened here has its own day.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Hello, bonjour everyone this week the Philippa Werry group did some work on the treaty of Waitangi also known as Te Tiriti o Waitangi we made a Google doc we put down some Maori gods names and their purpose.  Also we were given a doc with some questions about the story Te Tiriti o Waitangi by Ross Calman . Lets see if you know lots  about Waitangi Treaty?  Let's look at my work.

(might have to scroll for both of them )

I learnt that lots of Europeans stole land from the Maori if the Maori tried to stand up for themselves. I think question it's hard because I had to find out about the story.the god  work was kind of easy because you just have to find some names of Maori gods.
feel free to comment.
