Week 1 day 5 activty 3

Hey bloggers. For the summer learning journey we have to descibe NZ in 2018 for someone whos never been there. So here it is.
In 2018 there are lots of people on there phones but not as many as the USA does. Most kids dont have phones so kids are mostly at playgrounds. We have lots of cafes and restaurants.
We have lots of moutains , lakes , pools , beaches and rugby feilds. Rugby is our national sport so if  there is a big rugby match on most Kiwis will have on there TV eating fish and chips. If you dont know NZ eat meat pies with real meat in them some expamles are Steak and cheese, mince and cheese , steak and mushroom and many many more In Nz we have this theme park calledrainbows end it has rides like the fear fall, bumper boat, rollacoster and lots more. We dont have many ttheme parks but we do have lots of water parks with crazy slides , high diving boards and many more.
Hope you liked it. Feel free to comment blog you later.

  1. Hey jasmine
Amaya here Nice job with the blog post,
I liked that you described all the features so well I imaged it and it gave me a good picture of NZ. Have you thought about checking your spelling?

  2. Hi Jasmine,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog from my wintery home in Canada, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I'm enjoying thinking of you participating in this program in the middle of your summer while I'm at my computer, looking out of our window at snow.

I'm so glad that you've chosen to be a part of the Summer Learning Journey program. Good for you! It takes real effort to do all of the activities so I'm glad that you're willing to put in that effort and make this part of your summer experience!

You've made some interesting observations about life in New Zealand in 2018. I'm interested to see that you're mentioning the number of people on phones as they walk through their day-to-day lives. Certainly phones are very very commonly used here by people of all ages. I don't choose to have a smart phone, but most people do.

I'm very glad to read on your blog that most kids are out in parks at this time of year. Yeah!! That's what I would hope for. I'm a teacher and my favourite subject is phys. ed. so, of course, I'm very keen that children be as active as possible, all year!!

It made me laugh to think about Kiwis so keen on rugby that whenever there's a match, everyone is inside, eating fish and chips and watching the game. I know that my daughter, who lives in Auckland, always makes a point of watching rugby matches and I imagine that she is usually eating fish and chips too!

Thank you for your description of life in New Zealand. I think you did a good job.

I'll look forward to reading more of your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
